What's the best advice that you have ever received or given?

My grandpa Tom once told me never question every lesson thats in-store, I try and follow that as much as I can. It means that even if I mess somthing up I should make the most of it and understand what went wrong, doing this will keep me from repeating the mistake again.

    Mistakes are one the best teachers that one can have! Always remember that you can learn from your mistakes, so that you do not repeat them. Admission of a mistake, even if only privately to yourself, makes learning possible by moving the focus away from blame assignment and towards understanding. Sagacious people admit their mistakes easily. They know progress accelerates when they do.
    It sounds like your Grandpa Tom was a wise man.
